The area has responded very well when the hurricanes devastated the South, but it's time now to remember that there have been problems (here) and people we need to help in our area.

We know that, in times of need, everyone comes out to help their neighbors; it's been seen time and time again. We can't cut any of our programs or provide less help to those who need it, so we really need the help of the public to continue the work we are doing.

Things like that are greatly appreciated and helped us because then we had the money to help in other ways. We are going to be looking at all of our community partners and see if more want to help out.

This is the best feeling I've ever had. It's the first time we've done this and it's the first time the school has ever done anything like this. This is the best feeling in the world right now.

There isn't enough time with the three years to get things accomplished. You spend the first year figuring out why they are there and what to do.

It was his time, his turn. He deserved it.
