The army is assisting the police and a curfew has been imposed.

The police moved in, shot at the (kidnappers') vehicle. They killed the driver of the vehicle but the kidnappers dropped the dead body and went away.

We are on red alert. All state commissioners of police are under instructions to monitor developments and prevent any violence.
