The award goes to someone who has absolutely raised the bar on the culinary scene in Arizona.

He put T. Cook's on the map. He took the Royal Palms from an old, run-down motel to the marvelous resort it is and then created T. Cook's. Who else would we want to give it to?

It is our privilege to honor these talented and outstanding individuals who have led our culinary community to a whole new level.

I was raised Jewish and bar mitzvahed.

We raised the bar and that's a nice thing. It's going so well it's almost spooky.
