The belief is that girls tend to be better behaved.

A lot of girls had to leave early. A lot of girls felt pressure and needed to step up. We did really well today.

Some of the feedback I got was very violent. I had two girls come to my room. I had threats of violence messaged to me. People stopped me on my way to class. I was told my self-worth in about 20 words or less.

I expect these to be tough games but I have every belief that these girls can compete with these teams.

Our girls showed some self belief today and were strong for the entire match. I was rapt.

In boys, it's ingrained in their heads that to dunk is just the highlight of basketball, whereas for girls, our shooting technique, making baskets and free throws is taught more. It's such a sexist approach to the sport sometime. Men aren't encouraging their little girls to try to work on their hops. They're encouraging them to work on their jump shots and the fundamentals of the game.
