The benefit package put forth by the Israeli government was part of the equation. This is a good investment for Intel and for the state of Israel.

Without the grant approval for the new project from the Israeli government, we would have decided against Israel as a location for FAB 28. But the grant approval together with an established workforce and infrastructure made Israel the best place for the new plant.

Intel has a long history of high-tech manufacturing in Israel, and this is a natural continuation of that. When the manufacturing requires highly skilled people, we believe we have a competitive advantage here.

The primary return on investment initially was the additional speed of transactions.
