This all happened so fast, I was trying to keep my emotions in check. It really kind of stays on. I'm just tickled that the guys played well. The ingredients for winning a ball game are pitching, defense and key base hits. And we got them all.

He did a real good job. He did contain himself and settled down and pitched well. He used his breaking ball, moved it around, he did a good job.

That was big. Last year I remember he hit three in a game where (Garner) was ill. ... Maybe I should manage a few more times, because every time he hits a homer.

Here on this bend, the house was burning. Families lived there, ... This child was looking back to his residence, the mother was weeping and the father was shaking his head, asking, 'How could this be? How could this be?'
