The boats are extreme boats. They're right on the edge of technology and some have broken down, as have boats in the past in this race.

Usually, the boats sell shrimp right here on the dock. As you can see, there's no activity here right now. It's shut down. The only thing that's moving are people trying to get food, water, and clothing to the hurricane victims.

They all look good. They're coming right up to the boats.

One rule for the ferryman is to always give other boats the right of way. Never take any chances.

Gary is the one who promoted the whole idea of bringing the Whitbread to Baltimore and Annapolis. Gary's connections and persuasive ability were instrumental in getting the race organizers and participants to come here.

It's been a bit unnerving at times. Given what has happened so far, we can't be sure what type of event we will have. On the bright side, we do know we're going to get something.
