The boys were fun to watch on the court. They followed our game plan to the letter and the crowd's support was overwhelming. I hope we can build on this victory. It's just our first game.

I'm glad we won our first game. But it's still too early to tell. We have to take it one game at a time. Valencia, I heard has also a good crowd like us, we'll be tested tonight. I hope the boys will deliver.

This is when boys turn into men. It's just so much fun seeing them doing that.

Sunday, that was our "fun day". After Sunday school a group of boys that lived around Purdy, would meet at my house, nearly all owned saddle horses. We would go out on the prairie, there was not very many fences then. We would rope calves and have our rodeo, riding these calves on Sunday was when I learned to ride.

There's no down time, no natural play-it really affects boys. A lot of the fun things have turned into jobs.
