The burden to show that this is necessary falls on the government. There was no transparency. This is disturbing.

It's very highly endangered, in the Coachella Valley especially. The next step, hopefully, is that the government will stop delaying and do the right thing for the lizard.

It apparently was a similar type deal. They operated the same pitch, the same approach, no matter the government level.

This is consistent with the history of our field. This demonstrates the importance of the participation of government-funded academics.

Without a listing it really just gets lip service.
