(The coaches) told the kids if we could play our best ball, we could beat them. The girls believed that and did it.

Overall I can't fault the kids' effort. We played hard. Our goal was to play Friday. We wanted to play Friday night, but we did get to play all three days. There was great fan support. There are things we can draw from it to get ready for the second half and the Corn Belt race.

We knew offensively we could play better and be more aggressive. I thought the girls did a nice job. We made some good decisions, knocked our shots down and were able to extend the lead.

The girls come out and they are excited to play. They love to be here and it shows by the way they are playing right now.

The kids executed. We knew our potential and the kids stepped it up. We have a huge sign in our locker room that simply says 'Believe.' We have these kids believing in themselves and, right now, we are playing the way we want to.

She was doing a good job of hitting her spots. One bad pitch can make you or break you. She stayed strong.
