The college has been very important to me. ... I want them to thrive. On the other hand, I think they had the responsibility ethically to continue these benefits.

College is part of the American dream. It shouldn't be part of a financial nightmare for families.

We have three new cross-college programs that we do in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences and the Rubenstein School. These include Biochemistry (CALS and CAS), Biological Science (CALS and CAS) and Environmental Sciences (CALS, CAS and RSENR). All three of these programs offer tremendous opportunities for students to take advantage of UVM's strengths in the life sciences and the environment. This is in honor of what he's done for Odessa and for Odessa College. There's no remuneration. It's just an honorary title. But it's one he deserves.

There are many benefits of being (at CCSU). It gives them an opportunity to see what a college campus is like. It prepares them to think of an educational future beyond high school and what they should be doing now to get there.
