The constitution does not envisage the possibility of a federal unit breaking away. No federal unit can break away in accordance with the constitution and in a democratic way. If someone does attempt to break away by force, we all know what we will get.

The state has waited too long to face the evil, and there is no more waiting. We won't allow American agents to come to power.

We want a constitution that the people will accept and have a greater possibility that the voters will say 'yes' to.

Despite the very real possibility that pushing through a draft constitution over Sunni Arab objections could prolong the violence, the Shiites and Kurds are pressing their agendas as if they had no understanding that such dire consequences were a serious possibility.
