The defendant was not responsible for those crimes. But the Sept. 11 attacks are clearly a part of this case because the defendant sought to duplicate them.

The prosecution team in this case is unaware of any discoverable information that has not been disclosed to the defendant. Nor is the prosecution team aware of any evidence admitted at trial that was illegally obtained or derived from evidence that was illegally obtained.

The facts of this case are still astonishing. Barely a year after Sept. 11 the defendant joined the organization responsible for 3,000 deaths.
