The dollar was reluctant to follow movements in the equity market, but when the selling became fierce, it started to respond.

This is just positioning within ranges but I still think the dollar is going higher.

Once again, it shows a lack of follow through after thoughts of intervention.

I think [a tame CPI increase] would give the market a further sign of relief and could give the bond market a boost.

Investors are reluctant to take the dollar significantly higher and we are having thin markets. The market still prefers to sell the dollar on rallies.

The equity market is still undecided about the overall trend of stocks. All in all the earnings so far have not been well received by investors and it looks as if stocks have to come down in price to attract investors.
