The dynamic of the meet was changed with Frost missing. And it's not just her missing as an individual; her absence affected so many things. Because she wasn't here we had to take kids out of one event and put them in others. It also affected our relays. I think if she was here we would have won the meet by 30 points.

I think this team can be as good as it was last year. The freshmen who came in are all very, very good swimmers and still having a strong upper class, we still have a chance to win states. Branford loses a lot. Wilton will be competition and Darien moves into our class. It will depend on how hard they work. This is the best team we have had in my four years here. They are working hard and have team chemistry. If they keep winning hard they can win states.

It will be good for our girls to go against the best.

If we get frost once the flower's there, there's not much that can be done unless you use leaves or an old newspaper to cover them.

We are constantly looking at ourselves. We need to ask if we are dynamic enough to meet the needs placed on us by the community. Maybe we will have to look at our shifting patterns.
