The first four innings were good. My slider was not working well. Other than that they got clutch hits and their pitching has been amazing the last three days.

We went with the fastball and splitter for the first four innings, then worked in the slider during the last three. I don't know who was more nervous there at the end -- him or me -- because I really wanted him to get it, and I didn't want to call the wrong pitch for him.

We're still not getting clutch hits. That's been our Achilles' heel all year.

I think we did a good job swinging — came up with some clutch hits. Our pitchers did a good job of slowing (Grissom) down a little in the first game, and that's a hard team to slow down.

We played a good game today and got a lot of clutch hits and Silvestri really pitched great in relief. Districts are at the end of the month and we're right in there with everyone. Pasco has a couple games lead and then the rest of us are all bunched in there together.

I was just hoping for three or four good innings from him. We were eager to see what he could do as a starter. He did a great job.
