The flight attendants have benefits and challenges, but they do have choices of where they can live, or to some extent, where they fly and work.

The flexibility in the cost savings is in the elements that make up the $8.9 million, including work rules and other initiatives that can lessen the pay cut impact.

While the developments on the fleet are positive, we still have some important work to do on our restructuring.

We are continuing our efforts to work collaboratively with the flight attendants unit.

But looking long term, we must restructure in order to be a viable business. Our flight attendants are highly valued and they have continued to demonstrate a great level of professionalism in front of our customers, and we sincerely appreciate that.

We have had some increase in flight attendants leaving the company and expect that to continue as we continue our restructuring. We certainly understand that it is difficult to make these kinds of adjustments in one's personal and professional lives.
