The focus of this program is students with disabilities and how these schools have met or exceeded state standards for overall test performance.

I think the notable thing is the variety of schools on the list. We have the gamut, from urban schools to small schools in rural areas. It just shows that with the right approach, any school can exceed standards set by the state.

What we really hope is that schools will one of their neighboring schools on this list and contact them to find out what steps they have taken to help them reach this level of achievement.

We believe the instructions were clear. For those students who did not pass the test for whatever reason, they will have several opportunities to pass.

As a district, we must focus on ensuring our students and staff come to safe schools. Historically, the Board of Education has made that a true priority. Without a safe, secure environment, our students can't learn.

There was a time of transition and adjustment. Now there's a seamless blending of those students.
