The foundation's report is shocking in that it revealed how California has remained frozen in time for the past decade. We've seen virtually no improvement in addressing the severe problem of dental disease throughout our state.

It is scandalous that the California Dental Association continues to protect its dental monopoly at the expense of those who need care the most. AB 1334 is necessary to expand critical access to care for millions of Californians.

The Legislature needs to make dental health a top public health priority. Our organization is doing all it can to help accomplish that goal, which is why passing AB 1334 is so critical.

We were dealing with very weak, highly compressible soil. Everything settles there. It had settled two feet over the past 30 years.

We've committed more time to special teams than in any other year I've been here. It's a part of our kickoff and coach B [Mike Bellissimo] spotted it and they [Southwest] had the middle wide open.

By the time we get to 2006 or 2007, there will be a ton of new service providers offering wireless voice and data, ... It's too late to think about the number of carriers shrinking. Five years from now we'll be looking at another wave of consolidation.
