The function of Make Someone Happy is to collect and distribute Christmas gifts for children.

Janice Robinson, who contributes Christmas gifts for the children that the center works with, is a friend of mine for many years. She told me that they were having trouble raising funds this year because everyone was contributing to Hurricane Katrina relief.

Our children await Christmas presents like politicians getting in election returns: there's the Uncle Fred precinct and the Aunt Ruth district still to come in

They'll buy hand soaps, shower gels, a lot of gifts for Christmas.

In addition to the two vacation days she dedicates to this project each year, she is often in her workshop until midnight as the holiday draws near.

Christmas won't be Christmas without any presents
