The global warming hysterics don't just offer opinions and beliefs about greenhouse gases and the like. These are people who speak as if they belong to a cult.

The greenhouse effect I am knowing;
To protest right now I am going,
But oh my gee whiz,
I'm going that is,
If only it ever stops snowing.

Let the ice cap melt; it only reflects the heat from the sun, protecting earth from becoming just so much desert. The great grandchildren of the morons who elected and reelected George Exxon Bush and Dick Halliburton Cheney can survive, at least for a while, by killing off each other for a drink of water.

The basic science is very well established; it is well understood that global warming is due to greenhouse gases. What is uncertain is projections about specifics in the next few decades, by how much will the climate change.

Even if we were to stop putting out greenhouse gases right now, we'd still face decades of warming.

There's no shortage of Democrats who are at least as committed as Schwarzenegger to reducing greenhouse gases.
