The goal coming here was to get a card. To win, that's just a bonus.

I think I'm in pretty good shape with a six-shot lead. This is what I came here to do. I won't change anything I've done the first few days. It's working.

Obviously, I didn't play great but I made a lot of putts and battled out there. I tried to do the same things and not think about the six-shot lead. If I had been in the middle of the pack, I think I would have been a little nervous. But I was fine.

I'm excited to be able to give Gene this well-deserved promotion. He's been an integral part of our recent success, both on the court and the recruiting trails, and he will continue to play a big role in our goal of renewing the prestige of Butler basketball.

I'd like to see the sport grow to fill that void between the top echelon fighters and the young guys.

They realized that the product here is the athlete. It's not about the brand. You promote the athletes and the brand is going to grow. I think that was the major shift in thinking from the old organization to the new organization.
