The government is racking its brains to create jobs as it braces itself for a really tough year.

Food is central to Chinese life. But, during the Cultural Revolution, it became even more important. You couldn't discuss politics. Religion, literature, even romantic love were forbidden. Food was about the only way people had left to express themselves.

Many veteran craftsmen gave up their jobs of making New Year pictures in previous hard years.

We are still exploring the options and it is the government which will have a final say on this. I hope it can be put in place as soon as possible.
