The governor will run the race he needs to be re-elected. The focus is always on his candidacy, not others'.

The governor is clearly a passionate person and he's spent every day for the last 20 years being hounded by members of the media and being attacked by Republicans and the question for people who live their life like that is not how come it happened, but how come it doesn't happen more often.

This is not the governor you elected, ... We elected him governor, not king.

The lieutenant governor is focused on his official duties and making a decision about whether or not this race makes sense for him and his family.

Should the lieutenant governor decide to run, he will be a very formidable candidate and someone who will also have the resources necessary to mount a successful campaign.
