The industry's healthy but not thriving as it might.

I always thought that the “thriving” would come when everything was perfect, and what I learned is that it’s actually down in the mess that things get good.

Prince William Sound is healthy. It's robust. It's thriving. There are no unanticipated harms that were caused by the spill that would not have been anticipated at the time of the (lawsuit) settlement.

It's really a global cooperative effort. The idea is to preserve the species, display them in a lot of zoos and educate the public.

They might hold a particular appeal to baby boomers who want a high-touch relationship, where they can talk to the person in charge.

I guess we're concerned that if [these ordinances go] unanswered and we get in the position of having to defend dust on country roads, burning fields in Southeast Missouri, that's certainly not a situation that any of us wants to be in.
