The issue has been considered at the trustee level at least a couple of times. We think that the decision the board of trustees made was the only logical one that could be made.

If this group has a proposal, we would like to hear what it is and give it serious consideration.

The larger research programs that the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health are sponsoring require a machine like this to manage such large amounts of data.

In round numbers, it's one more year of salary. He's walking away with three years' salary instead of two.
