The issue of small rural schools must also be resolved, as must the urgent matter of the 178 schools that achieved less than 20 percent.

We have a massive loss of human resources in South Africa because the post-school opportunities are so narrow and focussed on further education. We should be using every training opportunity possible.

Most of my years there were only two of us in my grade. So I know something about small schools.

It is an interesting concept which is worth thinking about.
