The issues where the Port is failing are not ideological. Voters are sick of divisiveness and ideological candidates.

Voters elect candidates because they understand the issues rather than engage in leftwing fantasies.

Because the voters are going to decide this issue one way or the other, I just don't think the candidates' positions are that big of a deal.

Also, there's no coordinated strategy to identify and cultivate new candidates by getting them up to speed on the issues, introducing them to potential donors, and getting them greater exposure throughout the state.
