The kids didn't come ready to play from the start. We let that fly ball drop for a double. But they made several mistakes, and we didn't capitalize.

They kids swung the bats, didn't they? We got decent pitching, too. Those are nice pluses to have.

Their pitcher gets out on the mound and handed us our lunch. The kids did not make any adjustments. They all still tried to pull the ball.

Our kids played solid for 32 minutes. That was the key. Anytime you play well for 32 minutes, good things will happen. We have played a lot of good quarters and halves this year, but we put it together for the whole game this time.

We turned a nice 6-4-3 double play, and the kids were just hungry.

The kids really wanted it. When we play that hard, we are awfully tough to beat.
