The kids look forward to it. It's nice to go away as a group and get away from school.

I've got eyes and ears all over the place. I want to try to get some high school kids this time, to get a little consistency. All my connections are open. We'll have to see what comes through the pipeline.

We had three kids over .300 and nobody over .400. That's not great for high school baseball. We had to always hope for a pitcher to come up with a great game so we could stay in the game, and most of the time that didn't happen.

It's fantastic for the school and the kids and the community. It's a really neat feeling -- all the enthusiasm around this -- and that's exciting to me.

Those junior high students were as interested as the elementary school kids. I think it was the first time a lot of them had seen these animals too.

The best thing about Monte is he came in with a little bit of hype - if you can have hype at a young age - but he never came in wanting or expecting anything. He's really been someone who works at his craft.
