The kids never quit and they continued to battle. Basketball is a game of momentum and I just feel the clock just ran out on us. We didn't get a chance to get that momentum back again.

It was a tough loss, but I think they understood how hard they played and how hard they battled. What a game it was. We're just really proud of their effort.

The girls seemed to refocus after the loss to Grove. Their energy was high. We tried to approach it one game at a time. We looked at Vinita (the first of the regional foes). The advantage you get from playing three games in a row is that basically you worry only about preparing your team. Sure, we give the girls a game plan but there isn't much time. You don't have time to make many changes.

We'll have our hands full. They're legit. Definitely, they have good team size.

I tried to make a film that was not a lot of empty (garbage). To me, the film is about the relationship between the boy and a black guy - he comes to see him for what he really is. That's the most rewarding part of the film. Most of the credit goes to Eamonn Walker, who is one of the greatest actors alive today.
