The kids they recruit aren't thinking of spoils, thinking that they're going to be in the NBA overnight. Adam Morrison is a great example. He's just worked on his game beyond most. He's just taken it to an extremely high level.

(Miller) is one of those kids that just does his job. He can score, makes plays, screens great.

You have teenagers thinking they're going to make millions as NBA stars when that's not realistic for even 1 percent of them. Becoming a scientist or engineer is.

He was a sweetheart of a guy who always made you feel good about life and made sure you knew you were lucky to be around this game.

They're a combination of very good [talent-wise], good preparation by Jimmy, and they believe in themselves. I don't think it's a fluke. Somebody else in the country might, but I don't. [The Colonial Athletic Association] is a good league, good quality coaching in that league, and this is proof of that.

The NBA and NCAA has a window of opportunity for these kids to test the waters, so he figures why not?
