The largest steelhead to go through the hatchery was 32 pounds. We've got quite a few fish in the teens and 20s in the river right now.

The summer is the best time. You use polarized sunglasses to spot steelhead, and you fish for them.

This river runs clean almost all year long. If it takes two days of rain to dirty it up, it takes two days to clear.
