The last thing any coach needs when they're going through a tough season is a road trip that might not make much sense. We've become more sensitive to team preference.

It's been a long, strange trip. I expect things to get better this season. We're really high on coach Harris. He's going to be great for this program. There's an excitement again.

It's very important we back up this season.

You need to be able to win on the road. That was a big part of our run last year.

The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow Roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars, and in the middle, you see the blue center-light pop, and everybody goes ahh...

It's a road trip! It's about adventure! . . . It's not like we have somewhere to go.
