The legacy of this All-Star Game should be to grow our base of support. We want more kids playing hockey. We want more adults playing hockey.

We figured in what he's been able to do with a team that's underperformed for a number of years. He kept his enthusiasm. He kept the interest of the listener. He continued to inform and entertain. That's a balance we like to have.

He's Hawks through and through. We like that he's a click or two left of neutrality. He's a slight homer, but not a roaring homer. He's objective. He knows when a player makes a mistake, but he says it the right way without crucifying him.

He's the iron man of broadcasting.

There was a lot of learning and a lot of coaching and a lot of teaching right up until the end of every game. Our players had to learn how to close a game out, and how to be ruthless and not have mental lapses in the third quarter.

We've taken some gigantic steps in the size of the crowds, and we're engaging fans and pulling people into the overall experience.
