The lilies are for purity. Then there's maternal protection in the base panel, depicted by a bird attacking a viper to protect her young.

I think it will be fabulous but I think for our own protection, we need to be careful.

The fact that we can go in in the morning and talk with folks ... it reminds me of an old country store. Oh, there may not be a pot-belied stove or a pickle barrel, but the atmosphere's the same. We're going to miss her terribly.

And the symbol of the phoenix represented our hope in the resurrection.

These were the same symbols in the Heart of Spain paintings, so the exhibit and windows complemented each other.
