Than Shwe is now 18 years governing the country and remains deeply unloved by the majority of the population. That's amazing.

They've started building mansions, compounds, underground tunnels, bunkers - all kinds of weird things.

No country in the world can draft their constitution in three months. They themselves took 10 years. Why do they wish to impose a silly constitution on us?

The fundamental problem is this is not a consensus constitution, and one part of the country has massively rejected it. This was not a joyful vote. It was a pragmatic vote to continue the process.
