The main thing is our young kids are starting to improve and we're starting to peak at the right time of the year. We're getting a lot of hard work and push from the young kids. Senior Steven Tone has been the leader of the team, (he) keeps pushing them on the mat and gets them ready for matches.

We know how we both train and we just work together to get the workouts done right. As kids, we were just up messing around on alpine skis, just having a good time. We were just trying something different, catching air. We liked it so we just kept doing it. We were competitive the whole way, in a real good way.

I couldn't be any prouder of these kids in this locker room right here. They played a great basketball game. Lets just say that there were forces outside of our control that cost us the game.

With a lot of freshman and first-time wrestlers, you generally don't expect to get medals. The kids are all a little bit green, and they'll learn from this. It was sure tough on our seniors, though. We expected them all to take home medals.

Those goals hold us accountable. It's about doing the right thing for kids.

He's intense in practice, and he brings that to the mat.
