[The middle relievers] have thrown so well in the late innings this season that I haven't had to throw nearly as many innings as I did last year.

Some people will say it doesn't matter, but I think it was a pretty important win just because of losing those four in the playoffs and going 0-6 here this year, ... We need to mentally know that we can come here and beat these guys. I think we do know that. We just have to come out and do it. The fact that we did it tonight will help us mentally.

Last year, I felt good going into the playoffs, but I definitely felt like I had thrown a lot of innings as well, ... I feel a lot fresher now than I did any time in the past.

We really needed to win this one, ... The way we hit the ball tonight, the way we pitched, we deserved to win.

This is no All-Star or exhibition game. It's definitely a playoff atmosphere. There's no other way to describe it. It feels awesome to be out there right now.
