The name change is actually catching up. But we are not ignoring the Red Hills. We are still working our rear ends off doing easements in the Red Hills region - close to home.

From time to time, people are going to smell and see smoke. But there is one thing to remember: Whenever you smell wood smoke, it means that good land management - good stewardship - is going on in the forest.

Our conservation challenge is managing growth and development to balance places for people with places for wildlife and natural diversity to flourish.

What we're saying is we are setting the stage to broaden our area and scope. I'm not saying how far we are going or not going.

It was understood back then everybody needed a pier. Now there's a perception of a value change. There's a sensitivity to the scenic impacts of piers.

We've got to find ourselves individually and as a team, and just go out there and change everything.
