The November election changed the character of the United States Senate. Elections have consequences,

A free state cannot exist, our free state of the United States collectively, cannot exist without the right of the people to defend themselves.

Laws protecting the United States flag do not cut away at the freedom of speech guaranteed in the First Amendment. . .Congress made this position clear upon passage of the Flag Protection Act of 1989, which prohibited desecration of the flag.

In the United States Senate, we cannot do great things without reaching across the aisle and working together - and I look forward to the challenges ahead.

I think what happened to Ronnie White in the United states Senate was disgraceful,

The United States Senate is not here to just staple the paperwork on this deal and then salute it. We've got to go in there with an editing pencil, not a rubber stamp.
