The number of athletes we send abroad next year will be twice as many as this year. We are also working at sending middle distance runners and throwers abroad to train.

All the athletes should be back in training soon after a short rest to ensure they are fit for next year's Asian Games. The Asian Games in Doha next year will be a big task for us and we should make full use of winter training to improve.

We will further discuss the regular patterns and characteristics of each event during the training camps and we will also bring in new blood for the national track and field team.

We can hardly do anything about it. Chinese athletics has long been troubled by this problem.

The top-class sports teams being nurtured by universities are a sign of China's sporting future. At the moment, the facilities for such teams are not as good as for the national teams, we will give some support to them in the future.

Every year during the next five years, we will introduce over 100 planes which means we will need over 1,000 pilots (annually).
