The old days of selling wheat are over. Today, wheat buyers are buying a specification.

Buying a home today is a complex process, but that in no way excuses home buyers from their obligation for due diligence.

Back then was more an off-the-grid thing. Remember the whole wheat bread in those days? You could have killed someone with it.

On the upside, at least the buyers are stepping back in and it isn't just all sellers. We're seeing buying in gold stocks, energy, semiconductors and other oversold names. There's also a lot of economic data coming down the pipe in the next few days and that should give us more to chew over.

I think that the sales drop is temporary. Explorer buyers, or some of the buyers, may be buying Ford's new small Escape SUVs or waiting until the new Explorer itself comes out after the first of the year.
