The opening of our newest store in Joliet represents a significant milestone for Family Dollar and is the result of the hard work and dedication of all our Family Dollar associates.

Joliet is very similar to Family Dollar in that we've both experienced tremendous growth over the last couple of years.

It started out with just a little bit of sleet, and then a beautiful dropping of nice, big snowflakes. Now, it's all gone.

It will be horrible for us. Our business ebbs and flows with the events at the arena. Whenever there are hockey games or concerts at the arena, that's our peak business.

Some of the issues the court dealt with are issues of first impression that have not been resolved in this context. There are a number of issues on which we believe that an appellate court, in reviewing the matter, will come up with a different conclusion.
