The outfield here has large amount of clay content in the soil and as result it was slippery and too dangerous for the players.

Right now it's very clay-like soil that holds a lot of water and gets real spongy. The clay soil holds the water so the fields stay wet. We can't mow it and then it's unsafe to play on. It's a vicious cycle.

Our area just has a low amount of fertilizer in the natural soil. They won't grow well without fertilizer.
