The outreach programs are important because they allow us to not only share the beauty of the cultures we represent. But it also allows students [at the schools] to see role models who are excelling, attending college and achieving goals.

Anybody who watches the show, no matter what their culture, will hopefully have a desire to learn about their own culture and represent it well.

It's a universal story. It tells about a people who made decisions and the cycles and seasons they went through.

It was good for us because we need to learn how to do that. You always want to to able to practice something like that and you can, but it's hard to get that kind of effort out of the girls in practice, ... We just approached it like something we want to be good at, said 'Let's go do it,' and they did.

But when parents come up and ask us (about a helmet), we recommend it to the highest degree possible.

We know what's expected of us, and if we don't meet those requirements we know there will be consequences.
