The Public Safety Committee of the California Assembly is soft on crime.

The fact is that Democrats in this house are soft on crime.

You pass industrial hemp today and then something else and then something else. And then at some point you will get legalized marijuana.

Public Safety, to me, should be a committee that works to the betterment of California, and I see it (happen) occasionally, but some of the people on there have agendas that are far and away removed from the good and safety of the people of California.

It's when bad taste encourages somebody to commit a crime or creates somewhat of an atmosphere where public safety is at risk, that courts are more willing to get involved.
