The public seems to associate the fact that Brian Caldwell's (sentencing) on charges unrelated to this as the end of this case. Regardless of what anyone out there may think, this is still an unsolved case.

Despite what may be believed to the contrary, the shootings that occurred in August 2003 are unsolved.

We still haven't been able to pinpoint these shootings to anybody.

If there's someone out there who can link a weapon like this to Mr. Caldwell, that's fine. If there's someone out there who can link a weapon like this to someone else, that's fine, too.

It's amazing we can't get these officials confirmed. They're tying it to an unrelated matter about judges to in fact hamper -- actually undermine -- the ability of the Department of Justice to function. It's really irresponsible,

The two are unrelated issues.
