The response was excellent. We expected no more than 30,000. People are tired of being afraid.

We would lose everything that we have worked for so hard. There are people now completing the payments for their houses, their cars. They would be left with nothing.

We can change the minds of people in Washington and convince them that immigrants have an important role in America.

The African-American community was able to unite itself during the civil rights movement, and look at all the progress they made. As a Latino community, we need to follow that same path of unity and organization. If we don't show our strength in numbers, we will continue to be treated the same.

Unfortunately, we have not come to an agreement with the other organizations. Ideally, we don't want to be divided, but that's what we did. Hopefully, we'll set one place so we can have a great impact the way other states have done.

We set out to defend the proper rights of immigrants everywhere and we definitely achieved that. We will continue to fight for the cause to show the significance that this bill has on the people.
