The response was overwhelmingly positive from the East Texas High School coaches.

Of our 49 boys, 17 are freshmen, so we're still teaching some of the guys this isn't middle school anymore. Some of the freshmen are helping in relays and others are challenging in open events. Six or seven will make an immediate impact. We're talking about kids that maybe lost one meet in seventh and eighth grade, so they're good athletes.

If they do determine that there is a positive test without a medical explanation, then they would notify the school and at that point penalties would be assessed.

It's looking very positive for bowling to be accepted and that's wonderful. This is the fastest-growing high school sport according to OHSAA and they're impressed with the number of schools. It looks very positive they'll vote yes.

When we're able to stay out there for a little bit, we can do some positive things.

People overwhelmingly look at this (the addition of Yu to the school) as a positive thing. Everyone looks at this as something that needed to happen.
